Wine delivery options:
1. Collect your wine directly from the Domaine in France and pay no shipping or duty!
2. Collect your wine from our Calais warehouse and pay only a small delivery and storage charge (added at checkout) - again no duty!
Calais Delivery
We have an arrangement with a professional wine storage facility in Calais and can organise for your wine order from a Partner Vineyard to be shipped directly to Calais. You can then take advantage of cheap ferry crossings to pick up your wine and avois UK Wine Duty and UK VAT (all our wines are sold ex-chateau French Duty and TVA paid).
This can be as little as 1.20 Euro a bottle, which with the Vineyard partners discount on the purchase of the wine can still mean that the net price you pay is less than the published cellar door price at the chateau.
We can ship your wine directly to the UK, but find that for small quantities this is just not cost effective. There is the shipping cost, UK Wine Duty (which alone adds in excess of 2 euros a bottle) and employing the services of a Registered Excise Dealer, which is a fixed price whtever the quantity of wine being shipped. If customers are interested in shipping larger quantities, we suggest that 30 cases or half a palette are the minimum cost effective quantity, this can be an attractive option. But, for smaller quantities we suggest you make a day trip to Calais and enjoy a long luch in France while you pick up your wine.
Our wines are only available to Vineyard Partner members and price includes 12% Vineyard Partner discount off cost at cellar door this is cheaper than the price to locals in France! Minimum purchase of 12 bottles from one domaine. Because we are dealing with wines not easily available, from small producers, wine delivery to Calais is normally 6 to 8 weeks.
