membership terms and conditions

These are the terms and conditions under which we provide membership to Vineyard Partners. These terms and conditions, the website (www.vineyardpartners.com), its content, the provision of vineyard partners services and all use of the site and services shall be governed by English law.

1.  Vineyard Partners offers a vineyard affiliation scheme including    accommodation and tutored wine tasting in France. Benefits included depend upon the level of membership purchased.
2.  Members must be of legal alcohol purchasing age (currently 18 years of age in the UK).
3.  Members are encouraged to visit their affiliated vineyard. Events are organised throughout the year to facilitate this process. However, visits can be made at other times to the vineyard with prior agreement. Please contact us direct if you wish to make an independent visit. All our vineyard are small family run domaines and it is therefore possible that unexpected visitors could find nobody at home, particularly at busy times of the year.
4.  Gift membership will commence on a date stated by the purchaser (such as a birthday or an anniversary) but this date must not exceed 3 months from the date of purchase. Membership will commence from the requested date and expire in 12 (or 24 months in the case of the Master Vigneron programme.)
5.  Gift membership is flexible and can be used to book any level of membership. However, if your chosen membership is higher in price than the value of your original voucher, you will be required to pay the difference. If your chosen membership is lower in price, the difference will be held as credit against any future purchase.
6.  Gift vouchers are not normally refundable, but in exceptional circumstances a refund may be given; in which case the gift voucher must be returned.
7.  Members must use their entitlement to visit the vineyard within the term of their membership. Deferment will only be made under exceptional circumstances and is entirely at the discretion of Vineyard Partners Limited.
8.  Membership entitles the bearer to buy wine at discounted prices through Vineyard Partners. These discounts may vary from time to time and the Member is requested to refer to the wine purchase section of the web site www.vineyardpartners.com.
9.  Wine can be collected from the Vineyard, from a storage point in Calais or delivered to a UK mainland address.
10.  Import duty and UK VAT at the prevailing rate is payable on bottles delivered to the UK (along with appropriate delivery charges). Where wine is purchased for pick up in France the stated unit price includes UK VAT and French excise duty at the prevailing rate. Where wine is purchased directly from a Partner vineyard and not pre-purchased from Vineyard Partners, French excise duty and French TVA is included in the price paid.
11.  There is no obligation to buy wine offered, but should members wish to do so the minimum order is 12 standard bottles (9 litres).
12.  The membership and subsequent purchases of wine are separate transactions.
13.  Vineyard Partners assumes that all orders for wine are placed legally. However, we reserve the right to reject any order.
14.  An independent carrier handles deliveries of wine to the UK. Anticipated delivery dates will be given and deliveries will normally be made during standard working hours on Monday to Friday. If this is not suitable delivery can be arranged for an alternative day or time at extra cost.
15.  All membership prices shown are inclusive of UK VAT
16.  If you choose to collect your wine in France, either from the Vineyard or the storage point in Calais, you must do so within the term of your membership, or within 6 months of the expiry. This excludes Master Vigneron members whose exclusive hand crafted wine is delivered towards the end of their membership. In these cases free storage will be arranged for one year following the bottling date.
17.  All transactions are in pounds sterling. Payment may be accepted in other currencies, but will be subject to the prevailing exchange rates.
18.  Vineyard Partners will provide a full refund for any wines that are faulty. We may require faulty bottles to be returned. If this is necessary we will arrange this at your convenience.
19.  If your wine is unsuitable for any other reason, we will endeavour to replace the wine with and acceptable alternative of equal or better value. Please note this does not apply to the wine produced through the Master Vigneron programme as members are involved in the crafting (including tasting) the wine from harvest to bottle.
20.  Vineyard Partners can book accommodation for Artisan members, or additional accommodation for Vigneron and Master Vigneron members at our recommended accommodation providers. Please contact us for details.
21.  Vineyard Partners are fully insured. Please contact us for more details.
